Message from David Aldred
Greetings to all the saints from rural England! Congratulations on
another special celebration - 160 years of worship and witness. You are
part of a wonderful tradition, and a special community that represents
the richness and remarkable diversity of T&T. I was proud to be a part of
that tradition, and look back on my time of service at All Saints and the
Chapel of Ease with a great fondness.

We're living in a village near Stamford, Lincolnshire, which is where I
spent much of my childhood. As for now, I am enjoying my new role as a
teacher in a local secondary school with students who are definitely
keeping me on my toes!  Would you believe that our village church is All
Saints?  I'm enjoying lay status for the time being. Jo works as a cover
art teacher at the primary school where the children go. She's also had
various commissions including carnival design for Rosalind Gabriel
and for her ceramic tile art. We've just moved house - to a converted
barn which has a paddock. I'm getting some sheep to keep the grass
down so I'll be following in the footsteps of my biblical namesake!

Joanna, the children and I all look forward to seeing many of you
whenever we may return. Until that time, may the saints keep marching
boldly onwards and upwards.

With love,
David Aldred
