A Message from the Assistant Archbishop of Trinidad and Tobago
Rawle Douglin
It is with great joy that I extend warmest greetings and congratulations to the Clergy,
Church Wardens, Vestry and Parishioners of the Parish of All Saints on the observance
of the one Hundred and Sixtieth Anniversary of the consecration of the parish Church.  It
is my prayer for you that God would continue to bless the ministry and work of all who
serve and worship there.

The anniversary which you celebrate could well be termed one of a lifetime and in
thanking God for his goodness it is appropriate that we remember those who have been
part of Christ’s family, serving in various callings and were summoned by the Father to
his unveiled glory.

Greeting you at this time brings me a sense of nostalgia yet belonging.  As I look back on
my ministry and call to mind my blessings I give special thought to those received and
shared with you over the years.  Parish records will show that I have a long-standing
association with this congregation – it is here that I served as Assistant Curate and later
as Rector of the Parish.  During my Episcopal visits I have been gratified by the lively and
Spirit-filled atmosphere within the congregation and this is as it should be among
members of “the household of God…. The church of the living God, y\the pillar and
bulwark of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15)

I take this opportunity to place on record my personal appreciation of the contribution
made by the Parish to the Diocese and, as well, to the wider community and ask God’s
richest blessings on you and on your families.

May you have an enjoyable celebration to the glory of God in his will.
