| All Saints Choir and Music Ministry |
| The All Saints' Anglican Church is one of the few remaining Anglican churches, where the beautiful music of the pipe organ still inspires and leads in congregational worship. The organ itself is over 100 years old and it is hoped that, with proper maintenance and repairs, it will continue to form the nucleus of the music ministry of the church for years to come. Until recently, performance has been an integral part of the life of the choir. Beginning in the twenty years or so of Marjorie Padmore's directorship and continuing subsequently, the choir presented several anthems and cantatas, including several performances of the complete Handel's Messiah. It has performed in many churches around the country and participated in music festivals, beating all challengers in the religious classes into second and, in 1980 winning the Mary Elizabeth Evans Cup. In recent years, Jocelyn Carr-Sealy has accepted the challenge of being musical director of the All Saints' Choir. Our faithful organist, John Rajah has served the choir for many years and performs quite often the role of stand-in choirmaster, when Jocelyn's busy duties prevent her from its own music ministry, the choir has provided the Carillion in the bell tower as another gift of music to the church. All Saints' Steel Ensemble We are pleased to introduce our Steel Ensemble. Come and join us. This group can be considered an extension of the music ministry that’s creating a life of it’s own. Pan music regularly accompanies the singing in Church at the 7.30 a.m. service, and also on special occasions. It is our intention to expand this ministry and its membership to the Glory of God. For further information or those interested in joining our Music Ministry, please contact the All Saints' Church Office. |
