Vision Day I - The Follow Up
Our first Vision Day was a day when many of us indicated, with great enthusiasm, the
activities and changes we would like to see.  Our creative group presentations were captured
on video; those who were present will have the opportunity to ‘relive’ them as we watch the
videos, while those who had been unable to attend will see how alive and spirit-filled the
Saints were on that day!

The ideas generated in the group sessions and seen on the videos have been refined and
classified as:
1.       Community Outreach
  • Health Clinic
  • Website
  • Transport
  • Employment facilitation

2.       Spiritual Development/Worship
  • Multi media technology
  • Liturgical innovations and variety
  • Highly interactive
  • Bible-based – texts studied in advance
  • Bible study in regular Sunday services
  • Variety of musical instruments and songs

3.       Vocational
  • “Inter-generational”
  • mentorship programmes
  • men/women/boys/girls
  • Mothers’ Union/ACMS
  • Counsellors – Employee Assistance Programme

4.        Youth
  • Drama
  • Dance
  • Sports
  • Mentorship
  • Spiritual development – post confirmation training

5.        Infrastructure
  • Parking – within compound; Savannah
  • Air- cooling of church
  • New church hall

We will identify specific and realistic projects from each of the five groups and we will develop
an Action Plan, bearing in mind the need always to ‘plan the work and work the plan’. Now
time for us all to get involved.  We have talked enough – now it’s time for action.
